Aria Squash Club in fine form

TERM 2 has been action packed for our Juniors at Aria Squash Club. Coaching and game time has seen a huge improvement in all our 17 children attending Friday training sessions. A new format to Waikato Junior Interclub was re-introduced and Aria Squash Club were able to send 12 Juniors over the three different dates to collect points towards our clubs total. A further three dates are scheduled for this term.

Update... Our juniors won the Waikato competition!!!!!

Another fun-filled skills session is planned with New Zealand player and Junior Development Officer, Emma Millar in August, introducing students at Aria School, Piopio College and Piopio Primary to the sport of squash. For those who attended the last session, she will be building on skills learnt, and preparing some of our year 7 & 8 AIMs Games competitors.

Our Seniors have just wound up the Winter competition. Our three ladies were in combined teams with surrounding clubs – Te Kuiti and Taumarunui – all making finals in their respective divisions. The two Aria men’s teams have been challenged this time around, but can still be proud of their efforts.
