Xmas dinner enjoyed by many- Piopio Lions

The Piopio Lions Club hosted a Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner on Saturday, December 2. It commenced at 11am with a social catch-up time, and was followed by a wonderful meal, once again prepared by Cheryl Griffin and her able helpers. Approximately 90 people attended and were treated to great entertainment by local lad Trae Aitken. What a great talent he is. A big thank you to all who assisted in setting up the hall etc.

The Lions Club has also recently donated $2000 to the Lions Skin Cancer bus. If you are aware of a local organisation that might need some funding assistance for a project, the Club has some funds available. Please contact one of our members. There will be criteria to be
followed.
