Fantastic fun in Fiji

ON August 29, 10 Piopio College students made their way to Fiji for a cultural trip alongside Mr and Mrs Draper and Mr and Mrs Muraahi. For some of these students it was their first time on a plane. They were fully immersed in the culture of this trip as they had the opportunity to explore local markets, indulge in local Fijian cuisine, experience church life, and form genuine connections with locals within the villages. Let’s just say there was minimal down time as we made every moment count as we wanted to experience what this beautiful country had to offer.

Some highlights from the students were engaging in small sports games with the local children, being shown around the local school by our personal tour guides (cute village children), participating in the cultural welcoming ceremony, and having the opportunity to experience real life skills such as airport navigation.
