Update - Piopio Retirement Trust Board

THANKS to wonderful support from our community, all three stages of the double glazing project have now been completed at Paearuhe Village. All rentals are now fully double glazed, (retrofit), wooden frame French doors replaced with sliders and three other rancher-sliders replaced - two of them very large.

It has raised the level of quality of the units, which will also be easier to heat in winter.

We are grateful for the support from Piopio Lions Club, Piopio & District Charitable Trust, King Country Christians, and the Hurley family. We also acknowledge Brewer Joinery Ltd (t/a DUCO) who we feel gave us a good deal. Our special thanks from the rest of the Board to Liz Morgan. Liz managed the project from concept to completion. Without Liz’s energy and persistence it wouldn’t have happened.

On another note, a heads up to get in touch if you may be interested in joining our team. Quite a few of us are getting a bit ‘long in the tooth’ so we are naturally looking out for younger people who would eventually be willing to take on leadership roles.
