Piopio Ambulance update

IT WAS, for us, a busy January and February. We were dispatched to eight medical, five ACC, and 10 motor vehicle crash incidents.

Statistically over 70% of these incidents occurred between 8am and 8pm which corresponds to the times when we have low staff availability. As a minimum we maintain cover over five nights and four days, but would like to increase our officer numbers to improve that response, particularly during day shifts.

We continue to look for volunteers who could contribute part or whole days and even nights.
